I served in the TA for 13yrs, which was then the 562 SQN RCT, now RLC,so yes i class myself as a real soldier too. It is lovely to be able to pay respect to my past comrades who i have lost, those that i knew and to those that i didnt, as i too could have been one of them. May they rest in peace, i thank them with all my heart, for giving their life, for keeping our freedom, with love and much respect from Gina (cpl webb)

I am lighting this candle for my son Jacob Riley who was
only 2 and a half years old when he was taken home to be
with the lord by a horrible house fire. My son never got to fight in a war or grow up to join the armed forces but for the families of all of the men and women over there and the families who have lost children this candle is for them. |

My prayers for the families that are left behind without the wives or husband behind these great heroes there would be nothing for them to come home too. Come home safe. May god bless you and your families and my God Bless the U.S.A |

"that we here highly resolve that these dead shall not have died in vain." This phrase is from the famous Gettysburg Address, spoken by President Abraham Lincoln on November 19, 1863. Only six short years ago, bumper stickers abounded with the date of 9-11-01, and the words "We Will Never Forget". Sadly, it seems that many already have. War is never pretty, but when waged against despotism, terrorism and fanaticism, it is a noble cause. May we have the stomach, the will and the resolve to finish, and continue, what so many have bled and died for in this country, and all over the world: the triumph of freedom, justice and mercy over tyranny and cruelty. May God bless our troops and their families, and let's be faithful to petition Him for His aid in the battle! |

My husband is an Airman and he all the other enlisted members as well as the spouses sacrifice a lot. Even to the point of death for some ( may god rest their souls). I think every member of the armed forces and their families should be honored, respected and thanked everyday for sacrificing so that the rest of the population can be free and safe. I love our soldiers and everything they are doing for us overseas. GOD BLESS THEM ALL, EVERY 1 !! |
